Of course, we still have a little work to do... but nothing prevents us from thinking about it and preparing for it : a new kit, cosmetics, a book to offer or to treat yourself to, a miraculous product... in short, lots of little summer suggestions that will help you, I hope, to wait. |

For the summer, it's fun to have new products and a new toiletry bag. For the kit, I found a mini cooler in Monoprix’s decoration section (in khaki !) At least, if a bottle is not properly closed, the rest of the suitcase will be spared.

As a teenager, I imagined that in my adult life I would have a family with lots of children, friends, a lover of course, large tables, dogs, and me bringing lots of dishes filled with exquisite things to eat. I ticked all the boxes, but when it comes to making the summer menu my imagination stops at tomato mozzarella and melon. But I have just discovered the bible that will save the holidays. It is written by my friend Zana (loyal readers of this letter or food lovers know this name), who is my absolute reference in culinary matters, she is a great expert who is also aware that not everyone has her skill. In her book, there are only summer recipes but some of them can be made in winter too. These are dishes that her own mother made or that Zana invented and that she eats with her children & friends, including the famous Olympe, herself known to be a very great chef. For fools like me, she thought of everything, even the fact that we may not have a scale, so she indicates for example that a level tablespoon of flour, sugar or liquid corresponds to 10 to 12 grams. Awesome ! In her dedication she wrote to me : "You could even try... yes... yes…" and she adds "A festive, tasty, joyful, generous cuisine". Well, that is a self-portrait because Zana is just amazing. In any case, it is THE book to put in your suitcase or to offer if you are invited for the month or the weekend. In addition, the photos are superb, the ideal format and the icing on the cake (that's really what it's all about !) : I am grateful for having just said that "Summer passes... recipes remain” was an awesome title ! Morality : Hachette bought it.
