La lettre d'Ines - Bonjour
October 5 2023 / Letter 415
Thanks to my new status as a grandmother by marriage, I can return to places I love and find things for baby, of course, but also for me : bags, watches… I even took the opportunity to eat a delicious pizza. It’s so good to finally be a granny !

A la mode romaine
My new role as a grandmother brought me back to Smallable, a place I’d somewhat neglected of late. There are lots of things there for babies, children and mothers. They’re clever enough to make linens, accessories and clothes in unusual colours for little ones and I love their whole world.
You’re bound to find a gift, and at all prices. I was already thinking of giving a bicycle to little 5-month-old Marguerite! I came away with a bag, guess what colour ?!

Sometimes, I can’t say it often enough, you have to steal things from children. In this case it’s a watch and as :
-little ones don’t know how to tell the time…
-grown up read the time on their cell phones
It is just for you and you will be delighted to notice the time change on this piece of high jewellery signed Mini Kyomo !

C'est pas si compliqué !
Today, everything is the same everywhere… At least, at Marie Puce, rue du Cherche-Midi, it’s original in every sense of the word. Clothes, little cardigans, liberty pencil cases, toys, English shoes, vintage spirit… I found everything very charming.

La preuve
‘We just ate a pizza’ sometimes gives the impression that it is junk food as the Chinese say… But no, pizza is good and cheerful ! In this restaurant located at 55, rue du Cherche-Midi (but there are several in Paris), it’s even pretty. The perfect place for a quick lunch with a friend whose main topic of conversation isn’t dieting.

Oh dear, I’s happened to me again : the panielite ! The other day, at the Bon Marché, sheltering from the rain (because I’m not a basket case person at all), I stopped short in front of these pretty and very waterproof baskets, so I couldn’t resist. Well, I guess you can call me a collector, or a Doctor of baskets…

For the September box, I’ve been thinking about the rainy days ahead, so you will find a Beau Nuage umbrella decorated with drawings that I’ve made especially for you. It comes with an absorbent cover, so you won’t get all of your stuff wet when you pack this little umbrella in your bag. And since back-to-school is exhausting, I added a super effective Intensive Eye Repair from Derm Act and a serum that purifies the skin : Elixir du Marabout de Garancia. Finally, and because it is simply delicious, a jam from Confiture Parisienne.
I hope you enjoy all this.

et sinon...
Next week, I’ll tell you about an exhibition I recently saw at the Petit Palais, a film that has just been released, a quilt I found in preparation for winter… well, a whole bunch of essential stuff. In the meantime, I wish you a very good week and I look forward to seeing you next Thursday.
Merci - Mille baisers - Ines
